Hello, and welcome to the Swan family blog! I am totally new to the whole blog scene, so I'm learning as I go. But we thought it would be a good opportunity for all of you, our friends and family, to keep up with us this next year.
We had our last rehearsal with the Charlotte Symphony today, as we head into our last weekend of concerts. Tonight we are meeting up with Phil and Cynthia Brown, my uncle and aunt, for dinner before the outdoor concert. How fun! This weekend we'll be at Myrtle Beach with friends from church, and then we've got a few weeks home before we head off to the outer banks for a Taylor family vacation. When we get back from that at the end of July, we'll have about two weeks before we head up to Maryland. This summer is really going to fly by! By the time we move, I'll already be about half way through my pregnancy!
We found out this week who we will be staying with for the 10 months we are in Maryland. They are a young family with three kids, ages 9, 7, and 3. We will be staying in a large bedroom in their furnished basement, and we'll have our own bathroom. We are very thankful for a low monthly rent, since renting our own space would be more than we could afford (no more cheap Charlotte housing!)
We would love your prayers! Please pray that packing up our house in August will go smoothly. Also, you can pray that the Lord would prepare friendships for us in Maryland, and that God would prepare Nick mentally for a lot of information coming his way over the 10 months of Pastor's College. Pray for our baby, that the Lord would keep him or her safe and healthy (I'm about 10 weeks along right now).
We are so thankful for all of you! Thank you for your love and support of us through this season. We look forward to a new adventure ahead!
