A Day at the Zoo

On Wednesday, Jessica Lim came down from PA to spend the day with me... We had a wonderful time chatting, and we spent a good part of the afternoon at the DC Zoo. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! And since we went on a weekday afternoon, there weren't very many people there. Every time I go to a zoo, I am reminded at how creative God is. I mean, what a creative God to think up animals like flamingos and armadillo shrews (pictured below). We also got a great view of the one of the pandas eating away. What a pleasant afternoon! Thanks for making the trip, Jess!

2 Month Stats

I took Kathryn in for her 2 month check up today. She had to get three shots, which of course she did NOT like at all. It was very sad to hear her wail when the needles went in. All I can say is that I'm very greatful for Infant Tylenol! She is 23 3/4 in. long (90th percentile), 10 lbs. 12 oz. (50th percentile), and her head measurement is the 10th percentile. It's funny, because all along I've thought her head was really big. I guess not. :) She's still a little peanut!

Kathryn has brought us so much joy... we really love being parents and can't imagine now what our life was like before she came. We love her!

Our Baby Pictures

Here are our baby pictures...I think the consensus is that Kathryn has Nick's eyes and nose and my mouth. It's hard for me to see the real resemblance now that she has her own personality, but I can see the similarities from these baby pictures. Nick's (left) was his hospital shot, the top one of me is at at 6 weeks, where Kathryn is now, and the bottom one is 4 days old.
